Sponsor Umbrellas – Business Support

Business support

At Making Miracles, one way that we mark Baby Loss Awareness Week is by creating a beautiful display of pink & blue umbrellas at St. Margaret’s Church in Rainham, Kent. Each umbrella includes a wooden heart, on which families are invited to write a message in remembrance of their little one.

The umbrellas symbolise the ‘shelter from the storm’: the storm being pregnancy and baby loss and the shelter being the support our services provide to families while they try to navigate this new path that they did not expect to be on.

This year we are asking for corporate  support to help raise awareness via sponsorship of the umbrellas so that we can not only create an impactful display but raise vital funds to continue supporting families.

The more umbrellas you can sponsor, the more shelter we can provide to those taking steps on this difficult and stormy journey.

  • For £20, you could sponsor 2 umbrellas and this enables us to purchase and gift two copies of our book “The Baby” to families who need to explain to children what has happened and why their parents are so sad.

  • For £40, you could sponsor 4 umbrellas and this enables us to provide Play Therapy to a child too young to understand; to help make sense and process their complicated and confused feelings.

  • For £60, you could sponsor 6 umbrellas and this enables us to provide a couple some much needed Professional Counselling; to help them communicate with one another and ensure their relationship is not damaged through grief.

It would mean the world to us if you’re able to help via a donation or fundraising for us this Baby Loss Awareness Week and we would be delighted to publicly recognise the contribution of all sponsors and supporters on our social media platforms and website.

Fundraise at work

This year, we’d love for you to get your workplace involved and help spread awareness together. There are lots of ways you can take part:

Bake Sale

A bake sale is a great way to get everyone involved, raise money and enjoy. You can even make it competitive and do a bake off.

Wear Blue & Pink

Create a pink & blue dress down day. It's an easy fundraiser that everyone can get involved in. Maybe a prize for the best dressed. You can have fun with it.

Sponsored Walk

Our sponsored walk is a great way to spread awareness, keep fit and everyone can get involved. Sign up and get a free MM t-shirt.
