Birth Trauma Support

At Making Miracles, our Mission is to ensure no one ever feels alone in birth trauma and baby loss

Making Miracles offers families professional face to face or online counselling to anyone who is struggling during a high risk pregnancy or following a traumatic birth, where there has been a threat to mum or babies life.

This also includes traumatic deliveries, premature birth and stays in the NICU for babies up to 1 year old.

The counselling is very specialist and specific to the needs of the individual depending the type of trauma that they have experienced.

Counselling is not a support to help you forget but to validate your trauma, your feelings and help you understand how to move forward in life. Counselling also provides security and supports both your mental and physical health.

Following counselling families may become involved in our other care services or if counselling is not for you we also offer peer support services which are less formal where you can meet relatable and supportive people who understand exactly what you are going through. No one is alone in birth trauma.

Getting support through Making Miracles makes you part of a bigger cause, helping to reduce isolation in birth trauma.

People who enter our service usually come in on a well being score of 2-3 out of 10 and leave on at least an 8, this shows how effective our service is..

Supporting You

We can see parents independently or together as a couple. If they are feeling connected together but face individual struggles we would suggest separate counselling.
This will help bring individual emotions to the surface and work through grief in a private and safe environment.

Many relationships struggle in grief and this is why we offer couples counselling, it is very common and nothing to be ashamed of. Our counsellors help couples reconnect and communicate as part of a positive and helpful process.

We are here to look after you

We understand that counselling can be daunting but we will be with you every step of the way.
