Pregnancy After Loss

We understand that parents finding out they are pregnant again after a loss is a very daunting time. Not only because of what happened in the past but also the feelings associated with moving forward in life and the emotions that may arise with that. Anxiety may naturally run high and the fear of anything going wrong is very present.

Alongside our counselling service we can also offer hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy can help to reduce anxiety and fear, improve emotional well-being and be tailored to the exact needs of the parents depending on what has happened in the previous pregnancy and what is currently overwhelming them during this pregnancy. With both a female and male hypnotherapist within MM we can cater for both parent’s individual preferences and offer up to 3 hypnotherapy or counselling sessions.

Our mums often tell us that if they are at home, alone and not ready to return to their employment they can end up feeling lonely and have low sense of worth. Their self esteem and confidence is very low and they lose sense of who they are and their purpose in life. For this reason we can offer them opportunities to be a part of the Making Miracles team. It is a known fact that “giving back” to those you feel have helped you is a big confidence booster.  We can provide opportunities to get involved with us through fundraising and volunteering. That could be at the garden, on a stall or at the shop, setting up a fundraiser or challenge, learning to knit for us; the list is endless! Statistics prove that volunteering is very good for people’s mental health and overall emotional well-being.

Mike Blown, Counsellor and  MBACP Clinical Hypnotherapist

Mike is a person-centred counsellor and hypnotherapist. He works
with both adults and children.

Mike understands the extreme pain in loss and has had his fair share; what drives
him as a therapist, is seeing how strong and resilient people really are.

Even in the most traumatic times, people can somehow pull through and survive. He feels like it is his job to show people how they can find it from within themselves to do this, and if there is a chance to create some happiness in there too, even better.

His role as a hypnotherapist does not differ from this, it just means that he is able to use hypnotherapy as a tool to create lasting change in others more directly, perhaps with trauma, anxiety or grief, which works a lot better for some people than normal talking therapy/counselling.

Mike’s whole aim is to offer that sense of empathy and humanity for each of his clients. To offer grace and understanding, that every client deserves and needs.
