Making Miracles offers families professional face to face or online counselling to anyone who is struggling after the loss of a baby. The counselling is specialist and specific to the needs of the individual, couple or child and the type of loss that they have experienced.
Counselling is not a support to help you move on from your loss but to validate your trauma, your feelings and help you understand how to move forward. Counselling also provides security and supports your mental and physical health.
There is no criteria around time frame with Making Miracles, we see parents and families who have lost at any stage of pregnancy or during/ shortly after birth. This is as early as from a positive pregnancy test and goes up to a 12 month old who may have passed away following a complication in pregnancy or during birth, premature birth, neonatal death or SIDS.
Following counselling families may become involved in our other care services or if counselling is not for you we also offer peer support services which are less formal where you can meet relatable and supportive people who understand exactly what you are going through. No one is alone in baby loss.
Getting support through Making Miracles makes you part of a bigger cause, helping to reduce isolation in baby loss and birth trauma.
People who enter our service usually come in on a well being score of 2-3 out of 10 and leave on at least an 8, this shows how effective our service is.

Children (aged 6 -12) expecting a baby to arrive home and then not understanding why this hasn’t happened may struggle with their emotions, in school and everyday life. We want to help relieve the stresses of dealing with this alongside a loss and therefore have developed a Play Therapy Service for our families.
